Taco Seasoning Blend

Homemade taco seasoning is not just simple to make, it’s also easy to customize to your own taste preferences. It’s a great way to save your money and health: it’s much cheaper than buying the packets that are often loaded with excess salts and fillers. This is our family’s favorite combination of taco spices, with the perfect amount of spice and flavor. We love to add this seasoning to cauliflower taco filling, chili, beans, and plant-based cheese sauces.

Yields: 5-6 tablespoons

3 tablespoons chili powder

½ tablespoon cumin

1 teaspoon coriander

½ tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon oregano

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

½ teaspoon sea salt, or to taste

½ teaspoon black pepper

1. In a small bowl or mason jar, mix together all of the ingredients. Store in an airtight container and label the mix.
