Cranberry-Date Relish

I usually serve this delicious relish at Thanksgiving and Christmas. The dates give it sweetness without any added sugars.

Yields: 2 cups

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes


3 cups fresh cranberries

2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced

1/2 cup chopped pitted dates

1/2 cup orange juice

1/4 cup pur maple syrup

1 tablespoon grated orange zest

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger


1. In a medium saucepan, combine all the ingredients and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook until the mixture thickens and the fruits are soft, 15-20 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
